Mother's Day 2026 Pop-Up

Happy Mother’s Day!

Idea

As usual, for the two May cards I use the same mechanism. See the May card for the design details.

Differences

The mechanism are very similar. Both cards have four layers. The Mother’s Day design is much more organic, topped off with a flower. The base of the card has pastel vines and the rest is colored cardstock. The original design had larger upper layers, but the text overlapped too much, so I had to shrink them.

The layers have fewer supports making it bend, which gives it a bit more organic feel.

Cover

The cover has a pastel background with colored pencil drawing. Not my best work, but I thought I had another week before Mother’s Day, so I rushed it.

Build

• 4½” x 5½”
• The mechanism is made from Michael’s cardstock.
• The cover is Bristol paper.
• Everything was designed on the computer and cut by the Silhouette Cameo.
